TITHOREA

Melissa was hired by Tethoria to lead the creative direction and design of a four-day festival across two breathtaking locations in Iceland—Yoda Cave and the Viking Village. Guests traveled in RVs, creating a nomadic community that camped together under the elements. At Yoda Cave, Melissa designed a stage built from foraged tree branches inside the cavern, layered with light and sound. The exterior came alive with tea lounges, food trucks, a sauna, a breathwork dome, and fire pits scattered across the black volcanic sand.

Midway through the event, the caravan journeyed four hours to the Viking Village, where snow quickly turned to storm. An outdoor stage had been designed, but had to be abandoned. Melissa and the team transformed a barn—rebuilding floors, covering windows, and installing a new lighting system. Each night, the space filled with lasers and bodies, and each morning, the sky lit up with Northern Lights.

Iceland demanded everything—speed,
adaptability, precision—but gave back
something wild, raw, and the unforgettable.
